The Libearty Bear Sanctuary opened to the public in May 2014. It is a rescue bear project that started in 2005 and became one of the largest bear reserves in Europe. The sanctuary occupies a surface of 30 wooded hectares, where 78 bears were rescued from unhealthy environments.
Piatra Craiului is one of the most beautiful mountain areas in Romania. It is under strict protection from logging and hunting and here you will find numerous hiking and biking trails. The park is home to various wild animal species, such as: bears, wolves, wild cats, wild goats, wild pigs, foxes.

Total ascent: 700 m.
Total descent: 580 m.
