Short hikes for a one day escape in the romanian Carpathians

About the tour

Moieciu de Sus is a village from Brasov county, settled in a beautiful mountain area, at the edge of the Bucegi National Park. Due to the abundance of mountains, forests and hills, the village offers plenty of possibilities for hiking and trekking trips.

Each short hike takes about 3 hours to complete, so here there are three different possibilities.

 

The programme includes:

Route number 1:
Walk to Fundata: It’s altitude, 1360 m, makes Fundata the highest settlement in Romania. From Fundata there are spectacular views towards both Bucegi and Piatra Craiului mountains.

Circular route, approximate distance: 10 kmts. Total ascent: 360 m. Total descent: 378 m.

Route number 2:
Walk to Bisericuta: Bisericuta Peak is the highest point in the village of Moeciu de Sus, with 1322 m altitude. All along the hike the views over Moeciu Valley, Fundata, the Bucegi and the Piatra Craiului mountain range are stunning.

Circular route, approximate distance: 10 kmts. Total ascent: 350 m. Total descent: 343 m.

Route number 3:
Hikes to Dealul lui Cremene: From Dealul lui Cremene there are spectacular views towards both Bucegi and Piatra Craiului mountains.

Circular route, approximate distance: 5 kmts. Total ascent: 200 m. Total descent: 200 m.
