This cultural tour includes fortified churches listed on the Unesco World Heritage site, medieval fortresses and cities, Bran,the most famous castle in Romania, Peles, one of the most amazing palaces in the world and one night to enjoy in Bucharest, the capital city …. are you still doubting?

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival. Meet and greet at the Bucharest airport. Transfer to Bucharest. Accommodation at 4* Hotel.

Day 2

Breakfast and walking guided tour of the Bucharest center. We head on to Bran to visit its famous Dracula´s Castle. Transfer to Moeciu de Sus. Accommodation and dinner.

Day 3

Breakfast and visit to the Prejmer Fortified Church, an UNESCO Patrimony site and one of the most monumental and better preserved fortified churches in Transylvania. We head on to Brasov, the capital city of the Brasov county and one of the most beautiful and flourishing cities in central Romania, to visit its old medieval center. Our next stop will be in Rasnov, to see its 15th century fortress which oversees the city. Transfer to Moeciu de Sus. Accommodation and dinner.

Day 4

Breakfast and transfer to Sighisoara, the best preserved medieval city in Eastern Europe and since 1999 a Unesco World Heritage Site. Sighisoara is also the birth place of Vlad Tepes, the historical character that inspired Bram Stoker in creating Dracula. On the way to Sighisoara we will stop in Viscri to see the famous fortified church of the village, also a Unesco World Heritage Site. Return to Moeciu de Sus. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 5

Transfer to Bucharest airport. On the way, we will stop in Sinaia, on the Prahova Valley, also known as the Pearl of the Carpathians, where we will see the Peles Castle (19th century), old summer residence of the romanian royal family, and the Sinaia Monastery (1695). Transfer to Bucharest airport and end of the tour.

This tour is available for a

The cost includes

  • 1 night accommodation in a 4 star Hotel in Bucharest in double room and bed and breakfast regime.
  • 3 nights accommodation in a rural guesthouse in the mountain village of Moeciu de Sus, in double room and halfboard regime (breakfast and dinner, beverages not included); Single room supplement: + 75 € per room per stay.
  • Return private transfer to Bucharest airport and all the transfers in a private vehicle to the touristical sites in the tour.
  • Entrance tickets to all the monuments in the programme.
  • Bilingual guide.

 

The cost doesn’t include

  • Airplane tickets.
  • Travel inssurance.
  • Lunches, drinks, photography fees, tips,… or any other service not mentioned in the programme.

Aditional info

  • On request, accommodation can be switched to Brasov instead of Moieciu de Sus, but this might inccur an incrementation in price.
