TAKE ME THERE!

1 Day Tours in Transylvania

Our one day tours aim to touch the main touristical sites in the area of south eastern Transylvania: Bran, Rasnov, the Bear Sanctuary in Zarnesti, Brasov, Prejmer, Sinaia, Viscri, Sighisoara, Sibiu and Bucharest. As for the hikes, we use the Bucegi and Piatra Craiului National Park for our day hikes.

We have prepared a mix of cultural sites and hikes, so you have the perfect combination for a one day visit in Transylvania.

Our base point is Moieciu de Sus, the mountain village we live in, but we make collections in Bran and Brasov area.

If you want a different combination for your tour, please  let us know it, we will tailor it for you!

Points of interest and landmarks

Our tours include the most well known POI and also hidden gems of Transylvania for people ready to explore the heart of Romania.

Moieciu de sus

The village of Moieciu de Sus is situated in Brasov county, in a beautiful mountain area at the edge of the Bucegi National Park. Its settlement, the touristic areas that surround it, the raw nature and the respect of the locals for traditions make it an ideal place for rural and sustainable tourism.

Bran Castle

Bran is the star of the Brasov area. It is mostly famous for the count Dracula Castle, but it shelters a few more interesting spots: an Etnographic Museum which lies next to the castle gardens and a small chapell  which used to shelter the heart of Queen Mary of Romania.

Brasov

Brasov is  one of the greatest and most beautiful cities in Romania. Among its touristical attractions: the old medieval town center, the Black Church (14th century), the Council Square and Sforii Street (17th century) – one of the narrowest streets in Europe.

Bucegi Natural Park

The geographical settlement and the easy access to the marked hiking trails, makes Bucegi Mountains one of the most visited massif in Romania. The park is home to various wild animal species, such as: bears, wolves, wild cats, wild goats, wild pigs, foxes.

Corvin Castle

The Corvin Castle or Hunyad Castle in Hunedoara is the third most visited castle in Romania, after Bran and Peles. It’s been built in the 15th century and it is a charming, gothic style castle.

Peles Castle

Sinaia, on the Prahova Valley, shelters the Peles and Pelisor Castles, old residence of the Romanian monarchy. The Peles and the Pelisor castles are unique works of art and one of the last fairy tales castles in Europe. A must see and absolutely reccommendable site.

Why visit Transylvania

There are plenty of reasons to visit this magnificent area, but the most significant ones are:

The Carpathians offer one of the best hiking possibilities in Europe

The Carpathians offer one of the best hiking possibilities in Europe

The Carpathian Mountains are never far away in Transylvania, and for anyone fond of walking, this is one of the most beautiful, least exploited regions in Europe. Hikes can last several days, but it’s perfectly feasible to make briefer, yet equally beautiful forays in the Piatra Craiului and Bucegi mountains.
The scenery is breathtakingly dramatic

The scenery is breathtakingly dramatic

Far from the madding crowd, deep into the forests, you will discover alpine meadows and peaks, caves and dense forests sheltering bears and wild boars, and lowland valleys where buffalo cool off in rivers.
Different ethnicities, cultural diversity

Different ethnicities, cultural diversity

Romanians, Hungarians, Saxons and Szeklers, nations so different from each other, managed to create here a unique world, which has largely preserved its archaic atmosphere. Transylvanian villages and cities are different from anything you might see in the rest of the country.
Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of festivals, events and celebrations
