Piatra Craiului is one of the most beautiful mountain areas in Romania. It is under strict protection from logging and hunting and here you will find numerous hiking and biking trails. The park is home to various wild animal species, such as: bears, wolves, wild cats, wild goats, wild pigs, foxes.
Route: Izvorul lui Botorog – Prapastiile Zarnestilor – Cabana Curmatura (1470 m) – Poiana Zanoaga – Izvorul lui Botorog.
Technical features: circular route, approximate distance – 15 kmts.
Total ascent: 700 m.
Total descent: 580 m.

Starting point: Izvorul lui Botorog (Piatra Craiului National Park, Zarnesti).
Good physical shape and proper hiking gear.
